Relaxation

Why Relax?  Tension and stress will contribute to your pain. By learning to relax, not only will you feel better emotionally, but there is a very good chance that you will also feel a reduction in your pain level.
How do I relax? There are many ways to relax, the following are some of the easier methods which can be practised by almost everyone.

Have a warm bath with aromatherapy bubbles (rubber duck is optional as they are almost all plastic now!)

Listen to your favourite music- or why not try listening to something new? A good start would be Mike or Sally Oldfield, Enigma, Enya, Harvey Summers Pan Pipe music or Vangelis (search for them on the web- youtube would be a good place to start) I hope to add a page just for music soon!

Ideally, you need to be in a warm comfortable and safe place with little chance of interruption, for example lie on your bed, sit in a comfortable chair,or lie on the floor with a pillow under your head.
